The New England Patriots have locked up another one of their key core defensive players.
According to multiple reports, the Patriots have agreed on a four-year, $92 million extension with defensive tackle Christian Barmore. According to ESPN, the deal comes with $41.8 million in guaranteed money.
After battling injuries in 2022, Barmore was New England’s best overall player this past season posting a career-high 8.5 sacks to pair with 49 pressures. The 24-year old also took a major step forward in the run game — career-high 40 run stops — that turned him into a true three-down game wrecker for the Patriots defense.
